Well, what I have focused on this week is that slender thread, not being held over the pits of hell, but the slender thread our lives are held by over being healthy or sick, living or dead. A couple was smashed last weekend while turning into their driveway…the man was killed instantly and his wife is barely hanging on right now. Almost home, and bam, their lives are changed forever.
Beth this week had a health crisis and for a few minutes I was afraid I might have lost her as she took a header into the bathtub during a seizure. One moment fine, the next almost gone. We take life so for granted, but really, it is being held by a slender thread. I am so thankful for Beth’s life, and as I look around I am grateful for the lives of all that I see, including my own life. God has blessed us with life, but we all need to be careful not to treat it as something ordinary, it’s not, every life is extraordinary.
